In response to the many friends of mine who are not too happy about the Obama choice, my reasoning below:

Whether or not Obama is the right choice, or whether or not it is too early, or whether or not he deserves the prize to begin with, are not very exciting issues for me.

I do not want to seem to be playing the racial card, but I’ll postulate that people who are not Black and have not experienced racism inside their minds and bodies like I did in my old South Africa during the Apartheid years, have no real concept of how profound the positive impact of the rise and presence of Obama is for millions of Black people all over the world.

Speaking for myself, I know for sure that Pres Obama is one of those special people of my kind who inspire me to strive to be a better person today than I was yesterday, always! If there are millions of others in the world, regardless of colour now, who think and feel that way too, I don’t really care what anybody does and when to give Mr President more encouragement and strength to continue being there, and to continue glowing the flame of hope and, yes, love, for the world in so much need of peace, prosperity, and stability.

One of the poems I read was inspired by different cirumstances in June 1992. Wondered if I live ahead of my time sometimes:

CAN’T RUN, CAN’T ROLL NO MORE

Marathon-man running wild
Long time no direction
Home at last
Finishing line a love embrace
Welcome home a kiss
That tells You the limbs are bound
You’ve fallen
Into the quicksand of love

Rolling stone hit a wall at last
Stopped dead
Suffocating moss gathered along the way
Cleansed off by touches and breathes of love
Words said this is a wall of love
That will stand the test of time

No Berlin wall
You may roll over again this great wall
Mighty stone
Rejuvenate it with your love
Paint it beautiful the colours of love
Give the wall such splendour
Even the Great Wall of China will look at it with wonder

Smell of Peace so good!

Katrina Vrebalovich and I would like to thank all those who gave us support and encouragement at our ENERGY VITAL ART OPEN HOUSE event last weekend. Looking forward to further cooperation and support in the new year when we are sure to come up with even more exciting activities.
